The Farming Challenge
Main Stocking
A dairy herd was sold off in 2000 as in most of Northumberland and much of County Durham, there are very few dairy herds. After FMD a suckler herd was established. There are currently 70 cows split into three groups: AAx, Lim x and Stabilisers. Bulls used are Charolais, Limousin and Longhorn. All stock are sold finished and replacements are home bred |
